Cacti Oasis Snail Mail Club | Big Announcement and Update
Creating a Snail Mail Club was on my goal list for a while. Being able to see it come to life has its creative benefits! We are very proud of all the beautiful quality work that came out of this, but we can easily say we have overextended ourselves. We took a pause in the spring to regroup and relaunch, but we now see that it is still not a sustainable model for us.
This has been our process each month:
- Brainstorm ideas
- Create thumbnail sketches
- Design/illustrate approved sketches
- Test print, photograph work
- Create and schedule Shopify product drop
- Email members a week before the drop
- Email all subscribers day of drop
- Share on social media
- Start on the next month's theme.
Whew! No wonder this isn't going well. This process is great but realistically, this work is usually completed over a few months not within a month. Yikes! We shall take the L and try something a little different in 2025.
Learning from our losses we hope to set realistic goals and approach this model in a sustainable way.
What to expect:
- We are pausing OCT/NOV
- December will be our last Monthly Snail Mail drop.
- Starting in 2025 we will do quarterly Snail Mail drops instead of monthly. Our next drop will be April 1st.
We will send out a schedule for 2025 for what we have in store. We are hopeful and excited to continue to bring you fun, exciting whimsical work!
